Patrick J. Cottell has more than 12 years of experience in providing valuation and forensic accounting services to the legal community in New Jersey – a community Mr. Cottell knows very well. After graduating from Georgetown University Law Center in 1990, he began practicing law with a prominent New Jersey law firm. In 1995, Mr. Cottell joined a New Jersey CPA firm that focused on forensic accounting and litigation support. Since that time he has gained expertise in business valuations, forensic accounting, cash flow and lifestyle analyses, damage calculations, tracing of assets, fraud investigations, business dissolutions and shareholder disputes.

Mr. Cottell joined the Litigation Services & Business Valuation Group at Cowan, Gunteski & Co., P.A. in 2002. He has extensive experience in the courtroom, initially as an attorney and currently as an accounting and valuation expert. Since the majority of litigated matters are resolved prior to trial, Mr. Cottell also utilizes his specialized skills and unique experience to assist attorneys and clients in settling disputed issues.

• Graduated magna cum laude from Seton Hall University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (concentration in Accounting)
